Exercise Programs
Walking Program
As we get older our walking gait can easily change and various parts of our anatomy may start to suffer. This video shows how the body must sway with the arms following: it's actually a kind of rhythm that takes more than a day or two to install the muscle memory. We golfers walk more than the average person can understand. Having a proper walking method while you cruise the fairways can be very healthful.
Watch the video of my interpretation of good mechanics. I suggest you do what I did and have a qualified physical therapy trainer watch you walk. I plan to have a few physical therapists create videos on walking. I am in no way an expert.
Please read the below required warning about being sensible and careful.
- Check with as many certified people like doctors that the GLG programs are good guides to exercising and better health. Our opinion is we are doing good things. We cannot decide that for you.
- Please build up to the level you wish to achieve. After all, you will be working out several times a week (if possible) but certainly for many years. The older you start the more time is required. Keep up exercising from a young age.
- Again, our exercises and programs are just guides, you make the final decision for your best interests.
Beginner Exercises are great for beginners. Always remember you want to work out both continually and upwards, meaning 5 workouts every week of different types.
Eventually, Yoga and other systems will become available.
Exercise costs are predicted to be: $10/month (individual) to $20/month (family).
We will bring new programs on a regular basis.
When you register you will find various videos for beginner exercise including ones for stretching, others for aerobics, as well as specific golf exercises. Length from 5 minutes to 30 minutes.
Soon you can move on to more advanced exercises with simple weight training.
If you don't start exercising in your 40's (or younger) keeping in shape and being a good golfer is harder. If you start golf after retiring you will certainly need our senior programs.
